Dana Bisignano is a songwriter and composer for film and TV
and concert music. His music is heard on radio and television
in five continents. This recently included Oprah,
VH1, Access Hollywood, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Curb
Your Enthusiasm.
Dana’s film scoring has been heard at numerous film
festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival in As We
Sleep, SPIFF (Short Pictures International Film Festival),
Shoot America Film Festival, Vancouver Asian Film Festival,
San Diego Asian Film Festival, and in California Sea Lions,
a documentary narrated by Sean
Astin.
Other recent projects include Kyrie, a choral work
performed at Southern California's Marsee Auditorium, and his
EP Music for Untitled Films, which draws inspiration from electronic music.
Dana’s versatility has brought him recognition - as both
a composer-arranger and music director - by the LA Weekly Theatre
Awards and the Los Angeles Times.
A graduate of the world-renowned Eastman School of Music, Dana
began playing piano at age six, and he has been an avid guitarist
since performing as a teenager with local punk bands. Dana
currently teaches at El Camino College, where he has also participated
in a community outreach program that offers lectures in jazz,
classical and world music throughout the Los Angeles area.
